Hi,

I had the OS X x86 10.4.6 (both Jas and HotISO) successfully installed in the following plateform;

Intel D945GNTLKR ATX LGA775 I945G DDR2 PCI-E 4PCI SATA Video Sound GBLAN 1394 Motherboard

Intel Pentium D 940 3.2GHZ LGA775 2X2MB 800FSB Dual Core Processor Retail Box

Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200.9 8MB 11MS SATA2 NCQ RoHS Hard Drive

OCZ 2 GB Dual Channel DDR2

ATI RADEON X300SE - Support Memory :128MB DDR2 SDRAM (Supporting 256MB memory by

Sony DVD Player

However, the only challenge I had is I can not boot up the OS X from my hard drive straight. I have to leave the DVD in my tray. In addition, my Linux GRUB does not even see my HFS patittion either.

Is any one here experienced this situtation? If it is caused by SATA compatibility? If yes, how I can resolve it? Thansk for advise.

Alex

Make sure the partition is set as 'active' or bootable. Also try changing the options in your BIOS for SATA, disable it or try it on 'IDE selected' or something similar. Also, set your physical drive with OS X as the master.

Before, the Mac OS X DVD didn't even see my hard drive. Played with the techniques fore-mentioned and finally it went through.

Good luck, waiting on my install and we may very well be in the same boat...
