I really like the idea of the OSx86 project and I've just built myself home machine with the GA-EX58 and GTX295 that will hopefully run SL retail when I get round to it. And I'd like to try and do the same for a new laptop. Are there any core i7 (or even i5 or core 2 duo) laptops that can run SL retail? I had a look at the 10.6.0 HCL, but all the portables seem to be dual core. But I'm looking more for a quad-core laptop. Has anyone bought a quad-core laptop in 2010 that will run SL retail? Is there any way I can try and figure out by looking at the spec, e.g. chipset, graphics and audio to check for compatability like with my desktop? I've been researching the past few days, but honestly, as much as I love computers, most of this stuff is way past me. I'm also wondering which installation method i should use (if any of them would work with these setups)? I have a patched SL DVD, but would KakeWalk or Kalyway work better?
