qualsiasi Posted March 20, 2010 Share Posted March 20, 2010 Hello, im going to change my computer with new configuration. Im not sure between P55+i5 or X58+i7. As gfx im going to geforce 285. Some guru could reccomand me P55 or X58? My goal is to build most compatible hackintosh available with best performance but without lose compatibility. So what you think would be hardware that need less patch and that usual have no problem with kernel retail update? Thanks in advance. mdnz01 Posted March 20, 2010 Share Posted March 20, 2010 It doesn't matter much if you go either P55 or X58. If you go with a Gigabyte motherboard, you will have the least of trouble. P55 is usually cheaper and holds an i7 as well (the 860 or 870).
