ns1902
Hey everyone. I just installed iAtkos v7 and everything works GREAT! I have my video card running card running great with QE and everything, audio is working fine, and ethernet is working good as well. Overall, I am very happy at how effortlessly I could get everything up and running. There is, however, one huge problem. Booting up takes about five minutes because of some problem with Interfacenamer. It reads "Interfacenamer timed out waiting for IOKit to queisce." I recently got a new motherboard, and I had this problem BEFORE and AFTER changing my motherboard. I have tried disabling USB completely, removing all firewire kexts, turning off internal audio & lan, etc, and I have still yet to figure out what is causing this delayed boot. It works great once it does finally boot, though. UPDATE: Also, I have noticed that I HAVE to boot with cpus=1 for anything to work at all. It still boots slowly, though, and idlehalt=0 does not make it work without cpus=1. So, here is a snippet of my log when it boots: 3/17/10 6:21:21 PM kernel npvhash=4095 3/17/10 6:21:17 PM com.apple.launchctl.System[2] fsck_hfs: Volume is journaled. Beerkex'd
Fix what you can. To fix this: _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35 ...install the Chameleon 2.0 RC4 bootloader and set EthernetBuiltIn=y in /extra/com.apple.Boot.plist. And read this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=181631 To learn why you're getting 'CST evaluation failed' messages and how to fix it.
