Hey all -

I was just wondering if anybody knew which version of Callisto worked best with an Ati Radeon Mobility 9700 on an Inspiron 9100. Everything else works perfectly, but my max screen resolution is 1280X800 and I would love to get that working. Also, while I now have Core Graphics and such graphical UI features working, I was wondering if they would be disabled using the Callisto driver? If so, maybe I should stay at this crappy 1024X768.

By the way - I am running 10.4.6

As you can see in my signature, I use Callisto B03, last version.

I have 1280x800 with QE+CI!

The only down side is that my screen does not wake up, but all the rest is fine.

do you really got 1280x800? or you mistyped and got 1280x1024 as stated in your sugnature?greets

Sorry,

It's 1280x1024 natively.

But I can get 1280x800 by choosing it in the preference pannel. It's just distorted on my screen (15.4'').

i installed b03. got native 1280x800 but missing qe & coregraphics...

Same for me, I've a x600 mobility and I can set the 1280x800 graphic resolution but I can't do nothing about QE/CI.

Did someone use a different version of Callisto?

Hi, I've also a mobility radeon 9700 on my notebook with a 15" monitor.

The native resolution of my monitor is 1400x1050, I can obtain it simply changing the com.apple.Boot.plist file, and all seems to works fine when I boot in the OS, but when I take a window and move it all the window become an incomprehensible mix of gray colors

After, when the OS refresh the window (in example if I put over it another window) the window return normally but this way is a bit uncomfortable for me :D

Insted at 1280x1024x32at60 I can use the monitor good, no problem at this resolution without any special driver.

I've tried to download and install the official driver for Mac from Ati official site but doesn't work.

So I'm looking for a way to obtain my native resolution...

EDIT:

I've solved the problem at max resolution removing all the files beginning with "ATI" from the extensions folder :D

I have the Radeon Mobility 9600 Turbo and use the 003 Callisto drivers and can set my native res along with having QE and CI. To anyone not getting QE/CI, read the faq in the callisto package. There are instructions on what to do to enable QE and CI.
