Hi There,

I just recently embarked on my first desktop hackintosh build and I have hit a wall. Most issues I have figured out, but this one is confounding me completely. My computer specs:

Gigabyte GA EX58-UD5 mobo

Intel i7 930 processor

EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512mb video card

6GB OCZ Gold RAM (3x2GB)

2x1TB Western Digital Caviar Black HDD

750W Corsair PSU

misc. cooling/DVD drive/case/etc.

First thing I did was install a copy of Windows 7 on the top HDD (connected to the first SATA port) without the other drive plugged in. Worked fine, Windows is up and running, huzzah. Then, for installing OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) I pulled from a bunch of different sources, and ended up using this guide (basically a slightly modified version of a lifehacker guide changed for a setup just like mine):

with the latest version of Chameleon (2.0-RC4-r684) and the latest USB image from kexts.com for my mobo (v4.0). Now, I booted into Chameleon just fine and was able to format and install OS X on the secondary drive (now plugged in of course). However, once I restart (after being prompted do by the finished installer) and boot into Chameleon again and try to boot from the drive I just installed OS X onto, I get the apple logo on the gray background, the spinning wheel/gear thing, and then it changes to a pale blue screen and just hangs there. I let it sit for over half an hour and it didn't work. I tried re-installing (thinking something had gone wrong with the install) but that didn't help.

Windows works fine and boots fine, even with the BIOS in AHCI mode, which initially caused problems but I got past that using the method described in a response to the commend by 'benraymond' here:

So, basically, can anybody help me figure out what I am missing or what I did wrong that leaves me with this pale blue screen? I am of course happy to give any more information that would help. Thanks a ton in advance!
