lilol18
Hello Latino friends. if you happen to have a latin american distribution in your keyboard and you are planning to install Snow Leopard, this topic is for you. Truth is i installed SL in my vostro 1310 and it was pretty hard to find layout-files that matched my keyboard distribution (latin-american), but in the end i found a couple ones and just tried one of them which gave me almost all keys in the right place. FILE 1: This one (the one i tried) matches almost all keys, the only problem is that the "<" and ">" characters will be in the key above the "tab" key (the one with these symbols: | ¬ °). you just have to copy the "latinamerican.keylayout" file (extracted from the .tar file given below) into the folder "your.snowleopard.partition\Library\keyboard Layouts" and then open the Keyboard system preference and choose the "latinamerican" distribution. sorry i have no pictures to show you how. latinamerican.tar FILE 2: This one i wasn't tested because i uninstalled SL before i could find/use this file, actually a friend made it using ukulele application and sent it to me, gotta believe it works. This man says it works for 10.6 and it corresponds to the following distribution which is the latinamerican one exactly. The way to install it is the same as the FILE 1 one. distribution: file: keyboard_layout_spanish_latin_american.zip hope you try them and share. good luck. darth.cabs
Hi, Are these layouts for Brazilian ABNT2 standard? I have a layout here which I have downloaded from InsanelyMac as well, that works almost just fine on my Dell Vostro 1310 with Brazilian ABNT2 layout... the only two keys that seem to be inverted is the \| key, which is under ESC, on the left side of the numeric 1 key. This key should be on the left side of the right-shift, which instead has the '" keys Just to clarify: [ESC] - [F1] ........... [\ |] - [1] ............ .............. [" '] - [Right Shift] I believe we may be able to change that using the ukelele tool, but I still haven't tried that yet. If that is good enough for you, then access it here. Cheers!
