Khan_Man
I hate to answer a question with a question but what boot loader are U using? Any special drivers? How are U getting your video card working? If you are using Chameleon then U can use a direct software update. U will probably need to back up and reinstall any special drivers (network, wireless, sound...) If you are using Chameleon or strings to drive your video card it should be fine. plibber
I just gave this a shot on my dell 1545 laptop and lost my keyboard and mouse. My USB mouse worked though. There has got to be a way to update without messing with my keyboard drivers? Bizarro
I tried updating to 10.5.8 from iDeneb 1.3 (10.5.5) running on VirtualBox 3.1.4. It was a doorstop after the update. Actually, it didn't even complete the update. It usually hung during the update process, and rebooting just crashed. Fortunately, before attempting this, I knew enough to copy the hard drive VDI so I could start over for multiple attempts (and eventually to give up).
