Hello folks ...

here a sample video encoded into quicktime 7 H.264 codec token with 30 fps 640x480 Panasonic DMC-FX8 Digital camera ...

http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=6707925

just got sound working on my nforce 4 AC97 audio chip.. so got a song into itunes, then played it just for the visual effects ... average fps into this mode 27 ~30 fps !

average xBench : 55.89 (42 without UDMA active)

here my whole conf.

AMD 3500+ clawhammer core (2 bad)

6600 GT PCI-e leadtek (Vesa 3 but stuck at 1024x768)

1 GB ram

Asus A8N SLI DELUXE (with firewire active without any driver)

Realtek 8139B ethernet card

20" wide screen Dell 2005pf (so 1024x768 is stretched)

250 GB SATA (not seen) + 160 GB SATA (not seen too), 160 GB PATA (seen and read-only in OSx86)+ 120 GB PATA (seen too)

many thanks to all of you for your advices, and Br0adband and his friend mober 12 (or a name like this).

do you guys now how to get ethernet and sound drivers under VMWARE ?

thx a lot !!!

PS : that is really great.. but not as quick as my 2x1,8 Ghz G5 !!! but challenge is really better than that !!!

Use modified AppleOnboardPCATA.kext to get UDMA, up to 7x.xx in xbench.

I thought that VESA 3.0 was greater than VESA 2.0 ... VESA 3 don't allow me to go up to 1280x1024 neither 1024x640 or 1280x800 ...

but VMWare allow some great screen size (like 1400x1050 or 1920x1440  )...

I'm very disapointed with this !

another annoying thing under VMWare is the snappy mouse movments...
