Installed SL Server (everything's working) 3.) then installed chameleon RC3 + RC4 Without rebelefi CD booting from HD doesn't work. RebelEfi inserted: SnowLeo Server is booting fine. Any hints? Sotirios Papakonstantinou
Make sure you install Chameleon to the EFI partition (for GUID) or the Snow Leopard partition (for MBR) and you also include the relevant kexts and mach_kernel file. Just installing Chameleon doesn't mean your Hackintosh is Snow Leopard compatible and it can boot. First I installed Chameleon manually and I think I forgot to change/repair the Permissions for the "boot" file in root. :-( Only got in by boot CD... After countless attempts of installing several chameleon packages, I deleted the "boot" File. Then I rerun one of the boot loader installers and bingo - now the mac boots. ADDITION: It was no chameleon installer --- it was BOOT THINK v2.4.6 !!! b.t.w.: I only used the attansicL1eEthernet kext for gb-LAN and HDA for sound - all other's retail ;-), Now lets go for the GFX .. stay tuned Mondi Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212461-booting-snow-how/#findComment-1425904 Share on other sites
