As the topic suggests, having issues with a new graphics card, namely a nVidia 9800GT OC

Other hardware;

Intel Badaxe2 Motherboard

Core2Quad 2,4ghz (not overclocked, stock)

4Gb DDR2 RAM

WD Raptor 150gb HDD for install

Working a "mashed" version of several installs I read about on the Badaxe2, basically involving me restoring the SL disk to a end partition, blanking my "OS" disk - but anyway it works and all is good ;)

Can update to 10.6.2 no problems, and install Rosetta post-install (again no issues).

No KP's, 100% Stable tested over 7 days.

However the moment I use OSX86tools (or any other method) to add in my strings to the apple.boot plist file (located under my Chameleon "Extra" folder it KP's every 5/10 minutes, more and more as I reboot.

KP doesn't have any reasonable information in it - its kind of "blank"

Anyone any suggestions?

Where it stands is I am doing a fresh install, custom DSDT (rather than the forum-supplied for Badaxe2) etc to see if I can get it to work :)

Yeah - well, it doesn't but I copy the required stuff out.

Forgot to mention also, the EFI string works - full QE/CI, max monitor res (dual monitor btw) - but it just borks my install :(

I hand made a custom EFI string using the methods posted elsewhere (cannot remember URL) - both that and the "9800GTX" String in osx86 works, but causes my vidcard to KP :(
