Tony Cocco
I've had no problems for a few weeks. Now, randomly, all the sound from my speakers turns into static, or I hear the sound it ends eith static. I reboot and the problem resolves itself. But, today it has gone haywire 3 times! A new record. Usually it would work for 2 days. I use the AppleAC97Audio driver. And I have reinstalled it. And still problems. Any help?!?! cavemonkey50
Alright, let me get this straight. Your sounds works fine normally but every once in a while your sound turns to complete static, basically rendering your sound useless? It normally clears itself by a reboot and then you don't have issues again for several days? Since it sounds like the time from normal to static varies, something is probably triggering this issue. Can you think of anything you're doing when this happens? Does it just happen when you're not at your computer? What does your Console say when this problem occurs? Tony Cocco
I'll just start an iTunes song and I'll get static. I am positive nothing specifically is triggering it. I haven't checked the console, but I will next time. Any other advice?
