SL on Asus 1000HA

Has anyone gotten SL to load up successfully on an Asus 1000HA netbook?

 

I have been trying for a few days, and basically getting nowhere. Depending on which bootloader I use, I get results ranging from kernel panic at the outset to having 10.6 install completely but having almost no control (no trackpad, no keyboard, no wireless, no network adapter, incorrect video res, etc.) Can use usb keyboard and mouse, but they invariably stop working.

 

This is contrasted with my Dell D620, on which the install went smoothly and everything works.

 

My 1000HA has an Atom N270 cpu, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB drive. I also have an external (usb) DVD drive.

 

I have tried using Chameleon RC3 and RC4.

 

I have tried booting from DVD created from iso with bootloader and swapping in the retail OS DVD.

 

I have tried Lifehacker's setup using a 16 GB usb stick that contains bootloader and OS image.

 

I have just about every suggestion I can find... all without success.

 

Has anyone gotten one of these netbooks running SL?
