grifotas
i was installed snow leopard in supermicro x8dtl-if mobo. http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherb...500/X8DTL-i.cfm Areca 1220 raid car working out of the box. I patch dsdt, but i try to fix ethernet intel 82574L,edit the kext to match with <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x10d38086</string> and remove secondary, remove /System/Library/Extensions/Caches and Extensions.mkext, and reboot with -v -f flags but ethernet only show in system profile and not in preferences. This can be an issue with pci? This is th second install in the first install without areca card ethernet is working fine with the same fix. Can any one say me aditinal fixes to do? Psychaos
I am having essentially the same problem. I edited the Info.plist file for Intel82574L.kext to have the correct device ID, but the system will still not recognize the ethernet card. In System Profiles, under PCI Cards, the ethernet card shows up as 'ethernet' and claims that there is no driver installed. I am running 10.6.3. krosh
I've added a legacy kext for I82574L on the same motherboard. Port 2 shows and works, port 1 not works. I have not modified any kexts. System is 10.6.3. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212184-vanilla-install-supermicro-x8dtl-if/#findComment-1497856 Share on other sites
