peach-os
now finishing my monster machine with a dual cpu Asus-Z8NA-D6 I´m struggling at this weird problem. when AppleLPC.kext loaded I have a lot of lags with mouse and finder. unloaded > no problems but 10 C higher temps. tried it with earlier nvidia kexts, deleting AppleUpstream - without success. must be related to some stepping / throttling event.....anyone some idea? my specs: 2x xeon E5520 12 GB ram nvidia 9800gt more about here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...=203962&hl= Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212098-strange-findermouse-behaviour-with-applelpc-in-1062/ Share on other sites
oldnapalm
Are you using a legacy kext to fix CMOS reset? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212098-strange-findermouse-behaviour-with-applelpc-in-1062/#findComment-1422344 Share on other sites
peach-os
Are you using a legacy kext to fix CMOS reset? the board has already the correct RTC settings - no cmos fix needed. the loaded dsdt has beside the hpet fix the LPC (SBRG) device edit to load AppleLPC. in extra I have fakesmc, evoreboot an blockstorageinjector. tried without evoreboot and injector, strings, natit or graphics enabler > still the same....... Beerkex'd
There's a post by THe KiNG over at the Project OSX forums detailing how to remove IRQ settings from some devices in your DSDT. This can help with stuttering/hiccup issues. The thread title is something like 'fix for slow SATA device' or something. Try it and see. oldnapalm
I had to remove IRQs from devices PIC and TMR to avoid sound stuttering after enabling SpeedStep.
