fx600
Hi, I am looking for help please on sleep issues with 10.6.2 on this laptop. It is I think same hardware as Latitude E6400 (but with MHD4500 gfx) Installed Vanilla + Chameleon RC4 + extra/extensions from Calaver. The laptop works in Vesa mode only graphics (it has the dreaded Intel4500 gfx unfortunately) but in correct resolution. Which is fine by me. Most things work, including battery info, VoodooPowerMini speedstepping, shutdown and restart, PS2 trackpad and keyboard. Wifi of course has to be changed for compatible mPCI card. However, I have a sleep issues I can't get resolved. Out of box with Calaver's kexts and Sleep Enabler updated for 10.6.2, sleep doesn't work. No matter what I try. The screen turns to mushy grey with background still visible, no mouse pointer, and CPU still running. When I press power button again it "wakes" and returns to normal. I tried the hacked IOUSBFamily from one E6500 thread here. Didn't help. Could it be a 4500 Issue? Or some help with DSDT? The only relevant error in the log might be this: [ERROR] Failed to update ODD thermal key to 0 (read 0xe00002c9) I read that the internal webcam (on internal USB bus) is giving problems with sleep. However, even with it disabled in the BIOS, the problem is the same. Or some bad combination of the extra kexts? Any help much appreciated.
