Memory for MacBooks: what brand/model?

Guys:

I have just bought this amazing beauty named MacBook White. Although it's a wonderfull machine I'm pretty sure more than 512MB is necessary for full performance. Searching for SODIMM DDR2 667MHz 1GB memory module in the PriceGrabber site I could find more thant 10 brand/models available so some questions came up:

- Do MacBooks and MacBooks Pro share same memory modules? (my guess is yes, they do)

Some are said to be made for Macs by the manufacturers (Smart Modular, Memory Upgrades, Kingston) and these are also the most expensive. At least one model from Corsair has a review stating that it worked in a MacBook Pro. So...

- What is this about? Only "certified" will work?

- Why Kingston have two models (KVR667D2S51G and KTAMB6671G) with same specifications but a price difference of almost 30 bucks? Is this because of Apple royalties?

Let's get together and share our experiences with memory upgrades, which brand/models work, which don't work, etc. I do not agree on paying 40% more for the same memory.

Cheers,

Arnaldo
