Richdave
I have succeeded in getting SL to load/boot on my PC however when I upgraded to SL 10.6.2 it would no longer boot so I reinstalled SL again Any ideas on where to start with this? BTW my SL install is not yet fully functional as I don't have working sound nor do I have full res on my monitor with an x1950 Pro VGA. Not sure if other things do/don't work yet either. I naively thought that starting with the latest upgrade would be a good place to start... oldnapalm
Usually the problem on 10.6.2 update is caused by SleepEnabler kext, if you use it on 10.6.0 be sure to remove it before updating. After the system update you can install a 10.6.2 version of the kext. Richdave
deleting the sleepenabler kext allowed for a "smooth" upgrade to 10.6.2. I d/l and manually installed the 10.6.2 combo update. Now to get the system weaned off a -x start up, fix the sound, and graphics... then to see what else is required!
