countofsorrow
My Extensions folder under Library/Extensions is empty... Am I screwed? Is there anything I can do? the only way I'm able to boot is by -x -v cpus=1 -x32 -f otherwise i get a com.apple.driver.appleTyMCEDriver error. I've read that you can delete it but I can't find it since my Extension folder is empty.. probably corrupted... Any help is appreciated thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211317-empty-extensions-folder/ Share on other sites
ameris_cyning
Nope, that folder is empty by default. The real folder is located at /System/Library/Extensions As for your other problem, without your system specs it is impossible to tell why you can only boot that way. ameris_cyning
Have you made a DSDT patch? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211317-empty-extensions-folder/#findComment-1415245 Share on other sites
countofsorrow
Sorry I'm kinda new to this... I managed to get leopard working properly last year but it was more about luck than anything else. What is a DSDT? Is it some sort of layer that communicates with the peripherals? I don't think I patched anything regarding this... Right now I must boot using -f -x32 Thank you Jonathan Ok I just read on the subject... I downloaded DSDT patcher GUI and I'm going to try it out Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211317-empty-extensions-folder/#findComment-1415373 Share on other sites
countofsorrow
Okay I just rebooted I'm still having the same issues If I only do -v when booting I get stuck at failed to load com.apple.driver.AGPM kext and then I get "Kext load request buffer from user space still retained by a kext; probable memory leak" I'll investigate further Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211317-empty-extensions-folder/#findComment-1415429 Share on other sites
