countofsorrow
Hi all! Yesterday I installed hazard's snow leopard on my asus m50vm-a1 laptop. What's inside the Asus m50vm-a1? CPU Type: Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, 2266 MHz (8.5 x 267) Motherboard Name: Asus M50Vm Series Notebook Motherboard Chipset: Intel Cantiga PM45 Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS (1024 MB) Audio Adapter: Realtek ALC663 @ Intel 82801IB ICH9 - High Definition Audio Controller [A-3] IDE Controller: Intel® ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller Network Adapter: Atheros AR928x Wireless Network Adapter (but I changed it for a broadcom 4311 mini pci-e card) I used to have leopard installed a year ago and almost everything worked. Everytime I boot -v i get a kernel panic something like AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement timed out dependencies: -com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily -com.apple.iokit.IOPLIFamily -com.apple.driver.IOPlatformPluginFamily My sound, videocard dont work either. For sound I tried Taruga workaround and it doesnt work. I also tried voodoo without success. For video I tried aquamac GFX string without success Also everytime I try plug a usb key or external HD it never shows in finder or desktop but I have no problem plugging a mouse or something else in my usb port. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If I find something I'll post it here or make a guide like I made for leopard version: link Thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211312-asus-m50vm-laptop-help/ Share on other sites
