Everyone's got customized scripts and packages and everything for their individual machines, so I'm starting one for the Shuttle SG45.

I'm installing to a separate drive while already in 10.5.8. I'll post progress here as I go along. Finding unmodified files is getting a bit difficult...

If anyone's already got a working SG45, please post up!

Some specs:

Intel G45

Intel ICH10

Firewire JMicron

Ethernet Marvell 88E8056

Realtek ALC888

I'm running a nVidia 9500GT.

I just absolutely cannot get the CMOS fix to work on this machine. I've tried directly replacing the DSDT with a known working one (from my K48) and using a slew of patchers. I've tried vanilla using the guides as well as SnowOSX 3.6.

Every time I reboot, it's resetting my CMOS.

I've also been unable to get the 9500GT and the 888 sound card to work properly. I've tried a bunch of different methods for each and nothing seems to register.

The standard 88E8056 kext works on the network, however. Reboot and sleep work fine with standard kext.

CMOS fix still not working, modified DSDT doesn't seem to be working.

9500GT is working now with kext installs rather than trying to get it from vanilla.

Sound is working now also with kext install, HDAEnabler.kext and AppleHDA.kext.

Well, I ended up using the Terminal command line patcher tools and now it's working fine. It's like Chameleon just wasn't picking up the ones generated from the GUI tool or the ones I built in Windows.

I'm going to test out of a few of the DSDT fixes for audio and network.

Got a new issue now, though. When I downloaded the 10.6.2 update from Apple, it says:

"Mac OS X Update can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."

Yikes!

And yet... it worked fine using Software Update. Hmm...
