ajee
Hi, Does anyone have Dell E5400 running up? I have tried to install iAtkos v7 successfully, with less option choosed, only Chameleon v2.0, 9.7 Voodoo Kernel. After that it goes up and shows the rolling wheel, then reboots, always like that. Of course I tried with other options combination, things never become better. I used -v to boot, and saw some suspicous lines just before rebooting: IOPCCardBridge:: start failed Firewire unable to determinate security-mode, defaulting to full-secure disk0S1: I/O error 0 [Level 3] [ReadUUID 0] [Facility com.apple.system.fs] [Errype IO] [ErrNo 5] [iOtype READ] ....... any help? Thanks very much. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211100-iatkos-v7-on-dell-e5400-keep-rebooting/ Share on other sites
IT Guru
I have a triple boot with Windows 7, iDeneb 10.5.8, and Ubuntu 10.04 The only issues I have are ones that we all know about. Wifi won't work (replaced the 5300 with 1390 so I have wifi) touchpad doesn't work and makes the mouse cursor go crazy if you touch it and of course the highest resolution I can get despite many attempts to fix is 1024/768 As for Bluetooth and Keyboard, etc all worked fine for me right from install. I choose very specific packages to get it running but it can be done. I prefer iPC and the 10.5.6 iPC will also work but then getting to 10.5.8 from there is an ordeal I choose to bypass. It's not as if there are major diffs between iDeneb and iPC I just prefer iPC because they helped me get the most of my installs running with the least amount of fuss.
