So, after trial and error I managed to install OS X Leopard using the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD. However I have had problems in many areas and I really need help. (btw, I have searched the threads and have come up empty handed)

Audio:

The headphones port shows up under my audio devices however it says "The Selected Device has no output controls". When I have the Built-In speakers selected, I get sound from both the built-in speakers and the headphones. Currently I am using the ALC262 kext and I installed it using the Taruga Patcher 1.2.

Software:

According to the threads I've read, if I have the Vanilla Kernel installed I can update from Apple. That doesn't work for me. I have the 10.5.2 vanilla kernel installed and no matter what update I choose i get a kernel panic part way through installation. So I decided to use the Kalyway 10.5.3 Update, but low and behold I had the same exact problem. I would really love to have at least 10.5.6 on here.

Misc.:

When the system boots up, the grey apple screen is at about 800x600 res. I used ?video and it says that my card supports 1024x768x32. I tried using "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" But it does absolutely nothing. It stays the same size. This isn't necessary but it would be awesome if someone new how to get it to a higher res.

10.5.6:

As above mentioned I would love it if I could get 10.5.6 on this computer but updating hasn't worked out too well. I tried installing it with 3 other DVD's, iDeneb 10.5.6, iPC 10.5.6, and a generic 10.5.6 x86 dvd that doesn't have a name. With all three I get the same problem. When it boots, it gets past the Apple screen, turns blue and attempts to change the resolution of the screen. When it does, I get 6 separate screens that are all faded blue and the system hangs there. When I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 it does the same thing but the entire screen flashes rapidly and each blue square displays a crushed looking desktop. Once I set it up, I was able to change the resolution to 1280x768 (I had to use SwitchResX to change it my computers native 1280x800). So this leads me to believe that it's a graphics card issue but I choose the same driver for every install dvd. (Intel GMX3100).

Patched DSDT for 10.5.6:

After reading the threads I know that to use 10.5.6 you need to use the DSDT patch. I've used the little DsdtPatcherGUI app and i don't think it worked. To patch my dsdt i had to tell it to Force Compile, but once it's done I get a message saying "The command exited with a non-zero status. (1)" I don't know if this means it was successful or not. According to the GUI it was, but I don't know. And I don't dare try and update without knowing because if I ever try to update and it fails, I need to erase the entire partition and do a fresh install. I'd rather not it's possible.

So, any suggestions for the stuff above?
