Hey, I've been messing around with trying to flash a XFX 4870 card in my osx86 box. Mostly using UBCD and atiflash, but I also downloaded (and it doesnt work on a hackintosh I'm told) the osx ati flasher/injector program from cindori, so I dont know what the heck might have caused this.

Suddenly, when rebooting my machine, I actually get a progress bar under the spinning circle, just like when I update the firmware on my Mac Pro. I've never seen this on a efi emulated osx86 box. It seems like its hanging, of course, I also just added a new Nvidia 9500GT so that I can use that to drive video while working on getting the 4870 efi rom added so I can move it from my osx86 box to my MacPro.

Edit: While typing this, the progess bar actually started to move (with continuous disk activity as well), after 5 minutes or so, it completed and the machine booted. I havent re-booted to see if its gone or a new something that I jacked up (havent touched anything except pci-slot assignments trying to get this 9500GT to actually post as the primary display while I try to flash the 4870 with diffrent roms (you'd think it would be easy, but the xfx I got, is the xwfl version and so far, Im 0 for 4 on efi firmware that works.)

anyways, thanks in advance on the "progress bar" on the grey boot screen. Cant wait to here what it is doing? permissions on the boot drive maybe? Nah, one would expect a fsck prompt for that, and I didnt boot single or safe.
