I keep getting KP's on boot due to my video card. I tried to download the 10.6 pci efi , but cant figure out how to install it. I tried booting into single user mode and using the command line, but I cant get the USB drive to mount. I cant boot into safe mode, as it hangs. Any advice?

Ubuntu Live CD wont work, and Mac drive doesnt work either. transmac doesnt even read the partition.

You can boot in single user mode and move the video kexts out of the extensions folder, then the system should boot and you can fix things.

If it doesn't boot even without video drivers, check this instructions for mounting USB drive in single user mode

http://www.macsage.com/mounting-usb-drive-...ngle-user-mode/

If it doesn't work you can boot the installation DVD and use the terminal, the USB drive should be mounted if you boot with it attached.

i booted into single user mode and got the drive to mount, then i cp /file into /Volumes/HDD. i also did a cp -f to force it and it seemed to work. I restarted and got the same kernel panic caused by my video card in slot 1. i guess 10.6 didnt work
