renodude18
Hey all, I posted this in another area of this forum, but after not getting any response from anyone with my problem. Recently i decided to redo how my operating systems were installed, now thinking this to be stupid. But i needed to redo how my operating systems were installed because i had OS X on my larger SATA Hard drive and needed the storage. I previously had Windows 7 Installed on my IDE Hard drive and OS X on the SATA drive, so i reformatted the sata hdd and installed windows then mac os x, and then after using the program used in the a tutorial on youtube, i was able to dual boot them. But immediately after installing and booting to OS X i noticed that i couldn't install anything, meaning by programs that require more then just draging to the applications folder, those applications i can install, its not a .dmg files can be mounted no problem there. Everything works but that and my internet because i have a USB WILAN which requires that i install it not by dragging and dropping. Previously i was able to install everything but xcode. When it goes to start the install, the box comes up and i get the spinning Beach Ball of death and i have to force quit! Update: I decided to try and install some programs again last night and it worked, i was able to install my USB WILAN, but immediately after installing it i had to restart which is normal, now OS X does not even want to start, when i wasn't in -v mode it took me to a blank dark screen, which after troubleshooting my install ment the video mode wasn't supported. Previously i wasn't able to get any larger resolution then 1024x768, but this install i was able to 1280x1024 which is better even though my monitor runs native at 1024x768, i find it easier to use programs in OS X with a larger resolution. Sorry for the length of this please someone help me, i am about to just give up on OS X after so much time spent trying to get it to work!
