Installation by external USB Hard drive...

Hello,

 

As i have an external HD, i made an install partition where i extracted the 10.6 image and applied the patch "MyHack" just like i did on my USB Key (which work well).

 

Then i started an install, it went well until the end : i didn't see any "insallation complete, the comp will restart in 30sec" it just stopped itself and then reboot...

 

I have a 4850HD (since few days) so unlike before, it didn't work at first, i had to boot in safe mode and install the appropriate drivers, then it worked, it seems.

 

My question: Is what happened in the end of the insall normal, or did he skipped something? Next i tried to install on the same external HD (other 16GB parition).

 

It worked until the end, then it says FAILED, i have no idea why, i restarted just to see and got KP. But it's possible to install Snow on external HD, isn't it?

Ah! I forgot to mention something! In fact the installation (1st one, not on external HD) didn't went well, cause when i did reboot, it said "problem with system" or something like that, the bootloader was not installed, and i have to boot from another OSX bootloader on another disk...

I think i understood something : It always fail at the end, then restart and it can boot, but some parts must've been missed, cause on my netbook, when i install it in another way (i mean SNOW), after the reboot, i have 1024*600 native resolution, and after this USB install i have only 800*600 (GMA950)...
