Help Needed - P5K / ATI HD3850

Hello,

 

I need some help. This is really doing my head in now! I've tried about 20 different methods to get OSX working and I can't get to the installer!

 

My hardware is as follows:

 

Intel Q6600 Quad Core

Asus P5K Motherboard

SATA Hard drive

SATA DVD Drive

HD3850 Graphics

 

With most attempts I get Waiting for root device. And I've tried enabling AHCI etc and still not luck. Also I got on one attempt with Leopard to a screen where the graphics all screwed up and then nothing happened.

 

Can anyone suggest a way to install Snow Leopard on my hardware preferably without a Leopard install as I can't get that to work either. A Retail method would be prefered.
