so i got a free vizio 32 inch. model no. VX32L.

the LCD is good but the other internal boards are ruined. when i turned it on it would light up but nothing else. so im pretty sure the actual LCD panel is good. what can i do with it?

would it be possible to take apart my 15 inch tv. and use those internal boards and power supply but connect it to the bigger 32 inch LCD? both tvs only support 720p/1080i.

the problem would be in powering it. that 32 probably uses 8 or more cathode lights to power it, the 15" might use 2.

the power input board is probably wired up very differently between to two, meaning you wont be able to power the LCD itself, or the signal converter...

you'd make more money selling the panel as untested, because without knowing whether or not it really works puts you in a tight spot.

you're looking at very specialized market, it's really hard to say. only a handful of people would think of doing their own TV repairs (and trust me, the new LCD TVs, cathode or LED are very difficult to fix).

I'm not really sure what a ballpark range could be, but if it's a 32" panel that's only 720p/1080i, you're only going to get maybe $100-$150, if that.

you'd have to list exactly what TV it's out of, and that it's untested, because you don't know if it works...and if it doesn't, and you say it does, that's pretty stupid false advertising.
