Hi every1.

well first of all iam now the proud owner of a new mac mini and i absolutely love it and safe to say that i will never go back to a pc again. anyway that out of the way. i need a good video file (avi, divx etc) converter to DVD which converts it and then burns it. i have tried idvd but is far too slow and roxio toast 10 ultimate but the quality is terrible.

so does any1 know a very good converter and burner in 1. i used to use convertX to DVD for the pc and that was fantastic. even if there is no good ones can i get that to work on snow leopard 10.6.2?

thanks to every1 in advance. it will be much appreciated : )

jonno, you have two options:

1 - Use Toast, choosing the best available quality (I've worked for a Video Producer Company, and there we used to send to some TV stations the material in a DVD burned this way)

2 - Visualhub, with is (was) the best conversor for Mac, in my opinion. With Visualhub, the same: Choose the best quality and check the option for burn the DVD. It also gives you the option to mark chapters at any periodic time you want..

Any other option AFAIK, will need to do it with at least two passes: Convert to DVD and record with another program.
