Penguin X
Hi. I've got an extensa 5220 with ALC268. Leopard was running nicely, but with SL I have an audio problem. After the first boot. SL disables audio in bios. Each time I have to reset bios defaults, so it'll work again. What's that? Using AppleHDA kext which worked fine in Leopard. Also bios update and patched dsdt.aml didn't help. nobb1x
hello, i run a similar problem, my laptop set the mute on as default boot option (i can see the mute led turned on in bios setup too) and it un-mute only when the audio driver initialize the audio card. i never got success with patched applehda, i can see it recognize the audio card and i can control volume and inputs, but that mute led turned on don't let the audio card produce any sound. I solved using voodoohda, try it on yours too, erase the applehda.kext and install the voodoo.
