Here is the detail of my computer : Case : CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 Motherboard: Asus M4N78 PRO CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940BE RAM : 4Go Kingston PC6400 Integrated graphique card : nVidia Geforce 8300 hard drive : Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1000Go 32Mo cache Alim : Corsair CX400W Wifi : Netgear WG111v3 I've installed iDeneb 1.6 Lite on my computer. after the installation, during the boot, the pc freezes when he is arrived on the Apple Logo. Do you know where the problem comes from ? I am not in my home, so i can't tell you what i've chosen when i have had the "kext and patches window", but I will be in my home tonight. Thank's a lot. PS : If you think it's a graphical driver problem, I have also an HD 4850. My bios is configurated in AHCI ; my CPU is in manual mode, but not overclocked. The Spread Spectrum is desactived. I've allowed 512Mo of RAM to the integrated graphical card Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/210152-problem-install-ideneb-on-my-phenom-ii/ Share on other sites
NµLL
press F8 and do -v before booting to see whats going on when it freezes. also, what kernel did you chose? Try cpus=1 and -v after it and see what that gets you. NµLL
You may have picked the wrong kernel or need to set some bootflag options (like cpus=1) to boot. is the picture you took where it freezes? How I can select the good kernel ?? You don't necessarily have to reinstall. at boot press F8 and try "cpus=1 -v -x" I'm not sure if ALL distros do this, but the one I installed gave me the choice to pick the kernel at installation, but still included other kernels in case I wanted to try them out. Check the documentation or do a seach on these [and other hackintosh] forums for help. also how long did you leave it on that screen before restarting? from what I remember, I encountered this screen and left it for a while, then after a few min it says "waiting for root device". I then changed my drive to AHCI mode in the bios and everything worked out ok. Hackintosh's are hard. keep on keeping on.
