Quick Time Freezes and stutters when fan starts

Hello:

 

I have successfully installed iAtkos 10.5.5 and Software Update has upgraded to 10.5.8, i have solved most issues by searching here, google, wiki, etc... But the issue i can't seem to resolve is when i play a downloaded avi file in Quick Time, it goes fine until the fan kicks in, then it stutters and freezes. I am thinking it is a kext in the library/quicktime folder or maybe i am missing something. Below is a list of what i have for hardware and components installed, if anyone can help

 

Dell Inspiron 6000

GMA 950

AC97 Audio

 

Quick time components in Library/Quicktime :

- A52Codec.component

- AC3MovieImport.component

- DivX 6 Decoder.component

- DivX Decoder.component

- MPEGLayer2AudioEncoder.component

- Xvid_Codec-r58 (Intel).component

- Ffusion.component - (removed and played a movie but as soon as fan came on) stuttered and froze.
