waldo_pepperjack Posted February 6, 2010 Share Posted February 6, 2010 I'm having trouble getting sound to work in 10.6.x on my Hackintosh HTPC. It has the Realtek ALC858 chipset. It __does__ work just fine in 10.5.7, and SystemProfiler->Extensions shows that AppleAzalia is active/loaded. The sound quality in 10.5.7 is excellent. Anybody know why sound would work fine in 10.5.7 for this chip using the vanilla Azalia kexts, but not so in 10.6.x?
