I successfully installed OS X x86 on a Dell Precision 360 using the Ubuntu Live CD method to write the image file to disk. The only issues remaining are 1) Dell M90 monitor stuck at 1280x1024 (I want 1600x1200), and there is no sound. Other than that, it's running very smoothly.

Since it only has SSE2, I had to also use the Maxxuss kernel fix.

Just FYI...

Audio works, copy AC97 kext from darwin.

My 360 does support SSE3....

Can you elaborate just a bit?  Where exactly do I find that kernel extension?  Thanks.

- download darwin iso from http://developer.apple.com/darwin/ (remember to download x86 version)

- burn it on CD

- Mount it on MacOS

- Go to System/Library/Extension on CD

- Copy AppleAC97.kext from here to /System/Library/Extension on your System

- Reboot

- You will have sound

No sound. I copied the file, etc, etc, nothing. I do have audio controls, as in I can adjust volume up and down. And in the Preferences > Sound pane I sees that I have an AC97 output device. It's just that nothing actually comes out from the speakers....

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.
