ICH10 Slow Disk Performance

Was noticing some slow performance on my newly built hackintosh, so hoping maybe some of the gurus here can possibly help me in debugging it. It seems to be entirely related to the HDD performance, as far as I can tell (generally when there is a bit of lag, the HDD light is flashing away).

 

HDD is a 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue, 16MB Cache, 7200 RPM. It should be performing better than what I am getting, I believe. BIOS are in ACHI mode.

Resolved, and doubled my XBench marks by dropping my Extras folder and then getting the files mentioned here
