I have an ispiron 545 minitower and I just cant get it done! tried all sorts of osx86's...ideneb,kalyway, iatkos etc...all hang on boot after startup. I would imagine that the inspiron you have wouldnt a millions miles away from what i have any help at all would be extremly appreciated man! heres my specs if they help at all? I checked out three successful threads on other forums of successful installs. Figure out your chipset, ethernet driver (or wireless), audio. Then find the proper kexts.. They should be in the customize menu on iPC. For you Graphics.http://uploading.com/files/95385a44/IATKOS%2B10.5.7%2BDRIVER.zip/ This kext should do the job. Use Kext Helper B7 To install it. I have a 531s running 10.5.8 but have been reluctant to go to SL because of all the issues posted on this forum. Can you give me a sort of guide as to how you achieved it? Mainly I need help on choosing the right kexts to prevent kernel panic. I use "Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2/SSE3 Intel AMD by Hazard." I get as far as installing SL but when I have to create a user account I can only hear the setup music but have a Black screen. Otherwise, after install, as soon as SL starts the setup I get a kernel panic and have to restart. Now running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 - Hazard/Mobdin Sorry for lack of details but I'm still new to OSX86. I will get back with detailed kernel panic info.
