Paranoid Marvin Posted February 1, 2010 Share Posted February 1, 2010 Managed to get a vanilla install up and running on my 945GC system with an Nvidia Geforce 8800GT. I'm using PC-EFI 10.5 with a patched dsdt to stop the kernel panic on boot caused by the SATA controller (this issue confused me for a while, so if anyone needs help I can add the required files). Graphics are enabled with EFI strings, and kexts in use are fakesmc, nullcpupowermanagement, openhaltrestart and platformuuid. However, I am unable to get networking or sound working! Networking card is an internet Ralink RTL8319, audio is ALC883. If anyone has had any luck with this hardware on this chipset, pointers would be greatly appreciated!
