jbaruch76 Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 i can not get my sound working. 10.6 is installed fine. i tried both the applehda and hdaenabler from alc888_1.6.2a37 and i also tried Snow_Leopard_ALC888_Installer.pkg neither of these worked, however i get this in system profiler: ntel High Definition Audio: Device ID: 0x1458A002 Audio ID: 12 Available Devices: Line Out: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack External Microphone: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack External Microphone: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack Headphone: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack S/P-DIF Out: Connection: Combo S/P-DIF In: Connection: Combo if anyone has other suggestions it would be appreciated. i know i sound stupid but it didn't do anything with my dsdt because all of that stuff just seems too confusing with all the different configurations out there, but maybe if someone could help to make one easily with my hardware i would do that. even if someone can just link me to the correct tutorial for doing this. jbaruch76 Posted January 31, 2010 Author Share Posted January 31, 2010 also tried voodoohda with no luck. i've been using kextutility to install, do i need to be erasing the other kexts before i try a new one? what is the process for doing this.
