coolcatco888
Hi, I managed to get iPC 10.5.6 working on my Pentium4. Works perfectly except for the fact that I cannot see my secondary harddrive in the System Profiler and it does not also show up in the Disk Utility so I guess it is not detected. I installed the Intel Chipset for my SATA/ATA drives and it only detects my harddrive that OSX was installed in. My drive is a Seagate ST380011A SATA 80gb drive I suppose. Any ideas? Do I need to install another chipset driver? Attached are my hardware specs. Feel free to reply if you want help installing osx on your system. CJP2
How is the Seagate drive formatted? Did you try plugging it into a different SATA port on your MB? coolcatco888
Its formatted with Ext3 for Linux. I don't expect the partition to mount but the device does not even show up. Also, I have ExtFSManager on my computer so it should automount if the drive was recognized. No, I haven't tried plugging it in to different SATA ports yet, I'll try when I have time. - Thanks for your reply. coolcatco888
Actually my hard drive is an IDE ATA drive. System Profiler in mac identifies it as a SATA drive for some reason. The hardware profilers that come with windows and linux on the same computer both list it as ATA drives. My Mac partition is on the master drive and linux is on the slave drive.
