CyrisPC Posted January 29, 2010 Share Posted January 29, 2010 I've seen people with this board not getting much help with the audio driver or some kinda guide to installing on a 630i motherboards. so I've decide to keep trying to get full functionality. My Specs are in my signature. here's where I'm at. MAC OSX86 versions I have: Kalyway 10.5.2 (not sure if its patched) ideneb 10.5.5 IPC 10.5.6 JaS 10.4.8 (still "acquiring" this one) Kalyway is the only one that does give a kernel panic during installation disk boot. here are my bios settings I took to get kalyway installation disk to boot. load optimized defaults leave everything at defaults except raid mode. change it from ide to ahci you can overclock if you want it'll boot OCed. I've tried to install with sleep kernel and vanilla kernel with no luck I am now about to attempt the nforce kernel. vanilla just panics and reboots the sleep kernel doesn't panic but I get a "IO buffer" error. but that maybe from me attempting to install it on my ide drive and not my sata. If your using sata on this board and have another OS on the drive like I have windows 7 on the 500gb I had to boot parted magic to edit the partitions as mac's disk utility will want you to destroy the enitire drive. I created a 250gb partion for mac. I'm about to attempt to install Kalyway again. I'll post results if anyone has gotten OS X to boot after installtion please let me know what distro and what kernel you use. I'm not sure if this post is in the right place since I'll be attempting a JaS 10.4.8 installation later tonight and posting results or even more so if this post is even helping anyone. I'll go through a list of patches I used to et this dont later. right now does anyone know what nforce ethernet kext I should be using for a board like this? I'll try to find full spec of the controller I also got the ideneb V1 10.5.5 dvd to boot but does have patches for these chipsets.
