Help please ,installing snow with asus p5q-e and ati 4870 to a vga monitor with a dvi to vga adapter

I have tried a lot of different installations without results :D(

This is my configuration:

core2due 2,80 ghz, hdd 1 tb sata, mobo asus p5q-e with modded bios, 2x2gb ddr2, ati 4870 with 2 ports dvi connected with a dvi to vga to an analogic vga monitor , dvd sata lg (All this configuration was ok with Iatkos leopard...).

I have read that the problem might be the 4870 with the adapter for vga should be the most probable problem, using various versions of boot132 and then installing the original or some modified versions of snow, the system after som loadings stops working and it arrives a kernel panic before the beginning of an installation, the only installation arrived at an end was with the distribution snow leopard hazard, but at the restarting of the pc it arrives immediately a kernel panic !!!

Can you give me some solutions to try ? Is it possible to translate some files from a functional lepard partition or something like that ???

PS . using another old graphic card (ati x1950xt) the installation have finished ok with snow, so the problem is surely in the graphic card.

I saw at netkas.org forum it was treated a lot about problems of installation with 48xx cards, but i don't understand what are the solutions (i'm not very expert with unix-like systems)

I wait if someone can help me

Bye, thanks :););)
