jerryyyyy
I have a Dell M2300 and am following the "VMware Mac OS X Guest Package" instructions. I have a retail DVD of Leopard and using the current VMware Workstation. I believe all is configured well but on two tries I get the install screen looping with the phrase "Examining Available Disks". I have a 320 GB SATA disk. I believe this install has worked on a Dell M6300 but I am at a loss as to the next step after searching. Suggestions and ideas greatly appreciated. jerryyyyy
Appears more information on drive might be helpful: I am running Windows 7 so on device manager the drive is listed as: ST9320423ASG ATA Device Location 0(Channel 0, Target 0, Lun 0) Driver: Microsoft 6.1.7600.16385 Driver files: disk.sys; partmgr.sys; SDDisk2K.sys I guess basically the GUI install does not find this drive since it is not mounted... perhaps Windows 7 drivers are throwning a curve ball here.
