handyandy164
Hey guys and girls. It's been a few years since I have been on the osx86 "scene". I originally had the JaS 10.4.8 AMD/Intel SSE2/SSE3 release - that must have been 2007-ish. Anyway, I want to get OSX set up on my new machine that I have. Here is the lowdown: - I have a Win 7 Ultimate installation installed on one partition on my SATAII hard drive. - I have a 80GB NTFS partition that I want to format to the HFS format to install OSX. - I want to have it set up as a dual boot. Specs in handy graphical form: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=961352 Basically, I want to know what I need and what I need to do to get this working. Any help if appreciated. Thanks, Andrew. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/209216-amd-5200-x2-x64-pc-help-me-get-this-working/ Share on other sites
handyandy164
I have heard that snow leopard on AMD hardware is a nightmare. If so, can someone recommend a Leopard distro or the best install method for my hardware. audit13
For a 10.5x install, I recommend Kalyway's distro. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/209216-amd-5200-x2-x64-pc-help-me-get-this-working/#findComment-1400177 Share on other sites

handyandy164
i have his 10.5.1 release, but i don't know what options to choose during Customize window Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/209216-amd-5200-x2-x64-pc-help-me-get-this-working/#findComment-1400307 Share on other sites
audit13
I'm not familiar with the 10.5.1 release. I've only used the Kalyway 10.5.2 release. I suggest trying different options until you find one that works. Don't forget to write down what you choose each time so you don't repeat an installation that doesn't work. audit13
Okay, Do you have a AMD machine? What options did u try? Sorry, I never tried an install on an AMD rig. When I started fiddling with Tiger, I went strictly Intel for processors and motherboard chupsets.
