macromo Posted January 26, 2010 Share Posted January 26, 2010 So, i read many mauals and i cross flashed my mobo with P5KR bios, because all attempts to set up Snow with original bios was And now when i use different variants of 10.6 (Universal, dan1234) i get very strange things! Setup is beginning (and NOMORE "Still waiting..."), but. Sometimes before loading GUI, sometimes when i erase volume with Disk utility, sometimes when installation beginnig write to HDD, my setup is rebooting. HDD is working, and... restart! :censored2: my config is P5K flashed to P5KR C2D 6550 2GB mem Gigabyte 8500GT :pirate2: Bios: SATA conf - AHCI. Jmicron disabled/enabled (it doesn't matter) I think that something wrong with SATA or AHCI controllers! Attemt to setup 10.5.7 on this crossflashed mobo - also failed - restart during setup unexpectedly I hope you will understand my english p.s. When using Empire EFI bootloader - i inserted Retail DVD, start and... EBIOS READ ERROR DVD burned absolutely ok. audit13 Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 I installed 10.6 to a p5kc and it worked as long as the dvd and hard drive were on ports 1 & 2. I didn not have to cross-flash, I only had to make sure that the correct IOATAFamily file was in /E/E Are you able to flash back to your previous bios?
