Beerkex'd
Install a driver for the P-ATA (IDE) controller on your motherboard. Find model name and number by looking up your motherboard specs, then use Google or the forum search to find a driver for it. Beerkex'd
Yes, anyone can. The solution is to install the proper driver for the controller that your drives are attached to. alberbrando
I bought and installed a new SATA DVD writer, they're cheap (20€) and no problems with it,totally recognized by Mac,just plug and play .I know there are another solutions but I preferred this one, simply, easier and cheaper than to buy a Mac,isn't it?? alberbrando
You guys are hilarious. It is simpler, easier AND cheaper to install the right driver. Well, I know that install a simply kext is CHEAPER than buy a new drive but, in my case, I needed to upgrade my DVD driver and (this is more important to me : ) I'm not a super talent man with computers and my mac installation has been successful and I don´t know how to choose the right kext and don't want to break my new Mac. Cheers!!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208838-i-cannot-see-mounted-dvd-drivers-on-sl/#findComment-1403569 Share on other sites
