Maestroso
Hi, Though I don't own the HP Envy at the moment, I'm very curious about it as well. Many people have reported about problems with installing Linux/Unix based systems because HPs BIOS implementation still hasn't been updated to be ACPI compliant (even worse: Its range of settings is rather modest.) As far as I understood, HP released a BIOS-update which should resolve most of the former issues (except ACPI). But at least it brings hope for running OS X on this impressive machine. - First you should check out all the tutorials available for HP laptops (preferably Core i7 chipsets). A quick search in the forum might help here. Maybe someone else with HP laptops experience could chime in here? - Assuming you own a legal copy of OS X, have you tried any Distro? Keep this topic updated ... I guess there are some like us who are as well interested to see the HP Envy caressing snow kitty. Best, Maestroso. No I don't think that will work. If that works I don't think we need stuff like Chameleon around.
