Benjamin Hubbard
Hey guys, I've been poking around here trying to figure out how to get my Intel GMA 950 Desktop card to work right. So far, nothing is working. I'm stuck with 1024x768. no transparent macbar, no splash effect for the dashboard. That's all openGL and Quartz Extreme, right? I have a Acer Aspire netbook. and it's working 100%. Actually, It's better than my friends Macbook. I want to out do his iMac now. and my desktop is doing just that with OSx86 so far, except for the graphics. I have iDeneb 1.6 (10.5.8) With a Intel GMA 950 Dev ID: 0x2e32. It claims "No kext loaded" which my wonderful OS X noob experience tells me that my current kexts that I have tried are not registering with my device. any help would be awesome. System Specs in sig. CharredPC
I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you don't have a GMA 950. That's the 4500 Device ID. I looked up your motherboard model to make sure. This means you're not going to get QE no matter what you do. There simply is no driver. Check some of the 4500 threads on here to get some resolution choices... that's the best you can manage. Benjamin Hubbard
ouch. the OSx86 tools app knows nothing At least my netbook's running fine, I'll just dedicate this machine to 7 for now and look into buying a new Nvidia or something that works well with '86. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208738-gma-950-desktop-2e32/#findComment-1396856 Share on other sites
