I am trying to install the 10.6 onto a usb drive, then install it onto either a sata or IDE drive (I have one of each, IDE would be preferable). I used the myHack 1.0 RC4.1 R55 to do the work for me as i am a bit of a mac noob. I am running an amd phenom 2 x4, so i selected the chocolate kernel, and i selected the IDE fix. When i go to install it, the installer only detects usb devices. It sees the usb drive, and my flash drive if i plug it in, but no sata or IDE drives. I have changed jumper configurations and have had no luck. I have no idea what to do next.

-Processor: Phenom 2 x4 940

-Mobo: gigabyte ga-ma790x-ud4p

-Hard Drives: 1x IDE 200GB (Drive i want to install mac on), 1x Sata 500GB (If i do have to install on this, i will put it on a partition) 120GB USB external hard drive (Disk with the installer files on it), and a 4GB flash drive (If it can help my situation)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I dont have snow leopard installed yet. I am trying to get snow leopard installed on the IDE drive. I am doing all of the work on a copy of kalyway 10.5.2. I restored the disk image onto the external usb hard drive, and ran myhack on it. when i boot from the external hard drive, it gets to the installer, but only detects usb devices.
