Hey all,

I have a largely functioning SL install (specs in my sig) with one small exception:

It take 2.5 minutes for my rig to resume from sleep. So, if I hit a key on the keyboard, the desktop pops up 2.5 minutes later. If I set auto-wake at 10:00, the desktop is displayed at 10:02:30 (all validated by kernel.log).

I'm working on patching my DSDT per the suggestion of Supermx3 and sweatyone (thanks again), but am having some issues deriving some of the necessary information I need via lspci, as detailed here.

I'll continue working through my DSDT work, but I'm curious if anyone else is having similar resume issues as I am. Anyone?

A sample of my kernel.log is shown below, and you will see that the machine was supposed to wake up at 18:20:00 but finally awoke at 18:22:32.

  • 4 weeks later...

I figured I'd reply back to see if anyone had any other insight on this.

I have done some DSDT work, namely getting my AppleLPC to work properly (and the "Resume from power failure" checkbox is now available under the energy pref) and patching the DSDT per Formerly Known As.

Also:

- MSR tools indicates that Speedstep is running

- I've tried patching my DSDT with my nVidia card info per TonyMacx86, but the differences between his DSDT and mine have prevented me from getting a successful recompile

- I'm using a patched IOUSBFamily (per slice) to get my USB ports to be recognized as Built-in

But, the resume is still taking 2.5 mins

So...I'd love to hear any other thoughts that you might have as to what is causing such a long resume.

Thanks in advance,

LT
